We are looking for a part time Facilities Assistant to support the day-to-day running of our premises in Mablethorpe. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in maintaining clean, safe and well-organised environments and is comfortable carrying out practical, hands-on tasks. This is a part-time role of 12.5 hours per week, typically worked as 2.5 hours per day, Monday to Friday. Working hours will be agreed and can be either: 6:00am - 9:00am, or 3:00pm - 6:00pm.

Reporting to the Facilities Officer, you will support the day-to-day operations of Mablethorpe Library, helping to ensure the building is safe, clean and well maintained for staff and visitors. You may also need to provide occasional cover at Mablethorpe Business Centre.

You will assist with the cleaning and caretaking duties of the Library. This role involves practical tasks such as cleaning and basic maintenance and you may be required to move and handle equipment or materials, with training and support provided. You will also need to carry out scheduled checks, including:

  • Weekly fire alarm tests
  • Monthly emergency lighting checks
  • Routine health and safety inspections
