We are looking for an organised and detail-focused Planning Technical Officer to join our Planning Service at East Lindsey District Council. This is an exciting time to join us as our service continues to modernise, align processes across the Partnership, and enhance our digital systems to support efficient, customer-focused planning delivery. You will play a key part in validating planning applications, ensuring submissions meet statutory and local requirements before registration. Working closely with colleagues across the Partnership, you will support the smooth running of the planning process from technical checks and fee assessments to consultations, publicity, decision administration, and planning appeals. Your role will also support our ongoing evolution as you help us maintain accurate digital records, improve system use, and contribute to a consistent approach to planning processes across SELCP.
Responsibilities:
- Validate planning applications and ensure submissions meet statutory and local requirements before registration.
- Support the smooth running of the planning process from technical checks and fee assessments to consultations, publicity, decision administration, and planning appeals.
- Help maintain accurate digital records, improve system use, and contribute to a consistent approach to planning processes across SELCP.
