East Lane Primary School is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant team. Housed in a purpose‑built £14 million building with exceptional resources, our school is located adjacent to Wembley High, providing our children with an 'all-through' experience of outstanding schools. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves working with young children and is inspired by the impact EYFS practitioners have on children throughout their school career.
Our EYFS department has been newly renovated through our work with Early Excellence and features brand new purpose built early years furniture and resources. Our creative and ambitious curriculum is delivered through adult led sessions as well as purposeful child led opportunities. As a 3 form entry school with pupils from Year 1 through to Year 6, East Lane Primary School has consistently demonstrated exceptionality in all areas, including Early Years, Phonics, KS1 SATs, and KS2 SATs. We are welcoming 4 classes into our Reception cohort 2026/2027. Our outstanding results continue to be among the highest in Brent and significantly above the national average.

Main Responsibilities
- Act as an outstanding role model and supporting classroom practitioner, inspiring learning opportunities.
- Support the delivery of lessons and deliver sessions that meet the requirements of the Read Write Inc Programme and EYFS curriculum.
- Demonstrate excellent English skills (clear written and spoken English) along with good reading, writing, and numeracy skills.
- Set high expectations for all children and have a real determination and belief that all children can succeed and progress well.
- Personalise learning to ensure high-quality interactions and engagement.
- Be an outstanding team member and use initiative to drive their practise forward.
- Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Plan and provide an enabling environment that promotes effective care, teaching, and learning alongside the class teacher.
- Manage behaviour to the highest standard rooted in mutual respect and kindness.
- Make a positive contribution to the school community as a whole.
