Our client is a well-established manufacturer of high quality Microbiology Consumables based in North Manchester. Due to continued expansion, a vacancy has arisen for a Laboratory Technician. The role will involve Quality Control inspection of all new and in-process components used within Cleanroom & finished goods inspection after sterilisation. Laboratory testing skills are essential for this role including managing product NCs, Complaints and lab work like TVC, EM, Aseptic technique, Organism identification, Managing Organism Stocks and membrane filtration. For the right candidate there is the possibility to assist with ongoing R&D projects.
Working Hours: Hours per week, Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 5.30pm and Friday 8.30am to 12.50pm.
Duties:
- Raw material and finished product performance testing
- Inspection of Medical & Non-Medical products
- Sterility & ATP testing
- Bioburdens, TVC & ID
- Recording Out of Specification & processing Non Conformities
- Assisting with Customer Complaints
Skills and experience required:
- Science Degree
- Life science laboratory skills/experience
- Experience of Aseptic and culturing techniques
- Interest in Microbiology
