No two days are the same. One day you could be responding to an incident, monitoring our CCTV systems or managing access to the campus, and the next you could be supporting a fire evacuation, assisting with an investigation or helping deliver a College event. Our Security Team plays an important role in supporting the day-to-day operation and operational resilience of the College. You'll work closely with colleagues across the organisation and become part of a team that is trusted to respond professionally when it matters most.
Are you someone who enjoys working with people, stays calm under pressure and wants to make a real difference?, We're looking for the right person, not just the right CV. You don't need to have worked in a college before. We can teach you our systems, processes and procedures. What we're looking for is someone with the right attitude, who is eager to learn and wants to develop. You'll be approachable, professional and confident communicating with people from all backgrounds. You'll be able to remain calm under pressure, use your initiative and make sound decisions when responding to incidents. You'll also be comfortable challenging inappropriate behaviour professionally when required. Experience in security is an advantage, but we'd also welcome applications from people with backgrounds in customer service, hospitality, retail, the emergency services, the armed forces, care or other public-facing roles where communication, professionalism and dealing with people are key.,
