We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Psychology teacher to deliver outstanding teaching and learning within a supportive, collaborative, and forward thinking department. You will be joining a long standing team that works closely together for the benefit of our learners, with a strong culture of sharing best practice and providing high levels of professional support.

The successful candidate will be primarily based at Nelson but may be required to travel across sites. This post could suit an experienced practitioner looking for their next challenge, a newly qualified teacher looking to make their mark within an Outstanding organisation, or a talented aspiring trainee teacher looking for support with your teaching qualification.
If you are applying as a trainee teacher, the College's Trainee Teacher programme will include funding for your teaching qualification, as well as mentoring support and coaching from our experienced team.
What You Will Be Doing
- Plan, deliver and assess high quality teaching and learning across A Level Psychology (an ability to teach a second subject would also be advantageous)
- Provide effective academic and pastoral support to learners, supporting them throughout their educational journey.
- Ensure all learners make exceptional progress from their individual starting points through the use of effective assessment and targeted intervention.
- Develop learners’ wider knowledge, skills and behaviours to support their progression to higher education or employment.
- Enrich learners’ cultural capital by contributing to a broad range of extra curricular activities, including educational visits, guest speakers and other enrichment opportunities.

- A passionate, knowledgeable and committed Psychology specialist with the ability to deliver outstanding teaching, learning and support.
- Experience of delivering A Level programmes, particularly within Psychology.
