The Exciting Role
We are looking for a committed and student‑focused Pastoral Tutor to join our Creative & Digital department. The role will involve delivering high‑quality pastoral care including academic support and personal development guidance. You will empower students to overcome challenges, achieve their potential, and prepare for their next steps—whether in further education, employment or apprenticeships. This role will be based at our Nelson & Colne College campus, with potential travel across other locations as needed.
What You Will Be Doing
- Delivering engaging pastoral and employability sessions as part of our Creative & Digital programmes, ensuring students develop essential life and career skills.
- Planning and preparing high‑quality learning experiences that support students' personal and professional development.
- Communicating with parents and guardians to encourage positive behaviour, attendance, and engagement.
- Working collaboratively with the Creative & Digital team to support students in achieving their qualifications and future career aspirations.
What We Are Looking For
- Minimum of 4 GCSE qualifications (or equivalent) including grade C/4 in Maths and English.
- Experience in pastoral support, student mentoring, personal tutoring or a related role.
- A passionate and enthusiastic team player committed to student success.
- A recognised teaching qualification at Level 5 or above, or a willingness to undertake one.
- Degree‑level or professional qualification in a relevant subject, or equivalent industry experience.
