The Exciting Role
A new and exciting opportunity has become available for highly motivated part-time hourly paid Lecturer in Art & Media to join our close-knit Creative & Digital Team on a part-time hourly paid basis. You will become part of a highly skilled staff network, who are passionate about raising and supporting aspirations, providing social mobility and an essential talent pool for the local, regional and national economy. We actively encourage the development and growth of our staff, from our internal ‘Be Phenomenal’ programme to building relationships with local stakeholders and developing opportunities for staff and students. The successful candidate will be primarily based at Nelson & Colne College but may be required to travel across sites. This post could suit an experienced practitioner looking for their next challenge, a newly qualified teacher looking to make their mark within an Outstanding organisation, or a talented aspiring trainee teacher looking for support with their teaching qualification.
If you are applying as a trainee teacher, the College’s Trainee Teacher programme will include funding for your teaching qualification, as well as mentoring support and coaching from our experienced team.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Teaching within the Creative & Digital team, delivering effective learning for students
- Develop and share resources for the course/subject
- Deliver enrichment and enhancement activities
- Complete required assessment and Internal verification duties in relation to student assignments
What We Are Looking For:
- 4 GCSEs or equivalent including Maths and English at Grade C/4 or above
- Minimum level 3 qualification in a related subject
- Recognised teaching qualification or a willingness to achieve this within three years of appointment
- A higher degree or advanced qualification
