We are seeking a talented, student‑focused Curriculum Leader in Motor Vehicle for a full‑time, permanent position at Accrington & Rossendale College. The role is primarily based at the Accrington & Rossendale College campus, with possible travel across sites.
What You Will Be Doing
- Lead and manage a team of Lecturers delivering the Motor Vehicle provision.
- Lead on internal verification and quality processes.
- Support curriculum planning, development and delivery to meet awarding body requirements and industry standards.
- Monitor teaching, learning and assessment to ensure high quality and consistency across the department.
- Track and report on student progress, retention, achievement and progression.
- Maintain effective links with employers, apprenticeships and external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with College procedures, including Safeguarding and Health and Safety.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation within the Motor Vehicle curriculum.
Qualifications
- 5 GCSEs or equivalent including Maths and English at Grade C/4 or above.
- Recognised teaching qualification.
- Relevant Motor Vehicle‑related qualification at Level 3 or above.
- Degree or higher‑level qualification in a relevant subject area or appropriate professional qualification.
- Proven experience of teaching/training in a Motor Vehicle environment within Further Education or Industry.
- Experience of managing or mentoring staff.
