  • Develop and share resources that enhance the tutorial programme and contribute to a high-quality student experience.
  • Organise and support enrichment and enhancement activities, including employer engagement and external visits, to provide learning beyond the classroom.
  • Take ownership of student attendance and engagement, using reporting tools to identify at-risk learners and implementing proactive interventions.
  • Support students through challenges by maintaining close communication with them and their families, making daily calls where necessary, arranging interventions, and re-engaging learners through personalised action plans.
  • Set and review SMART targets with individual learners to track progress and drive improvement.
  • Work closely with the Group's Additional Learning Support team, ensuring every learner receives the tailored support they need.
  • Collaborate with students, parents/carers, and cross-college support staff to remove barriers to success.
  • Promote a culture of respect, motivation, and ambition, addressing inappropriate behaviour in line with college policies.
  • Help students see beyond their qualifications by supporting progression into employment, apprenticeships, or further study.
  • Stay up to date with student management and communication strategies, ensuring best practice in pastoral support.
  • Deliver high quality always, everywhere – work with internal and external partners to create meaningful opportunities for student growth and success.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Delivering engaging pastoral and employability sessions as part of our Motor Vehicle programmes, ensuring students develop essential life and career skills.
  • Planning and preparing high-quality learning experiences that support students' personal and professional development.
  • Communicating with parents and guardians to encourage positive behaviour, attendance, and engagement.
  • Working collaboratively with the Motor Vehicle team to support students in achieving their qualifications and future career aspirations.

  • Generous annual leave allowance including a two‑week closure over the Christmas period
  • Enhanced occupational sick pay scheme and access to family-friendly policies and benefits
  • A range of health and wellbeing benefits and support
