The predicted salary is between 20000 - 28000 £ per year.
Ensure collection and delivery of goods, food, waste including clinical waste throughout the Trust is removed and disposed of following strict policy and standard operating practices over the 24/7 period. Our team is responsible for replacing medical gas cylinders, removing the empty ones in various areas of the Trust, and ensuring safe transportation and storage procedures are followed. We have daily Pharmacy, Pathology, and various other stock/top up and collection runs to perform during the course of the working day, which may include handling blood and other sample products in sealed containers. There may be a requirement to support the offsite Logistics teams in delivering and collecting from GP\’s and clinics in the local area.
To aid this, it is essential that you hold a current UK driving licence, and it would be advantageous if you had a driver Certificate of Professional Competence and category C1. If successful at the shortlist stage, you will be required, as part of the interview process, to take part in a practical assessment, short reading, and writing test to assess your ability to read and retain information given to you. The successful candidate will also need to undertake a driving assessment.
Responsibilities and requirements include:
- Ability to understand, absorb, write, and comply with detailed procedures in English
- Full UK driving Licence with no more than 3 points
- Basic English and Maths – Ability to comply and absorb instruction in spoken and written
- Proven ability of multi-deliveries or collections on a commercial or healthcare basis or similar basis
- Able to pass an up-to-date highway code test
Desirable criteria include:
- Previous experience of working with members of the public
- Driving Licence with C1 & D1
- Experience of towing a trailer
- Holding a clean driving licence
