Overview
As a team we are working hard to ensure we put patients at the heart of everything we do. We are on an exciting improvement journey and can offer you a rewarding and supportive role providing a full range of diagnostic care within the Respiratory Diagnostic team.
Responsibilities
- To appoint diagnostic outpatients from GP and Consultant referrals for appropriate investigations in order of clinical need.
- Maintain a waiting list of patients waiting for investigations, who can’t be appointed straight away.
- Appoint extra clinics to help bring the waiting times down to be acceptable level.
- Answering telephone queries and if necessary transferring calls to an appropriate member of staff.
- To undertake other clerical duties as required, appropriate to the grading.
- To cover reception when needed.
- Work within the constraints of the DATA Protection Act and attend all mandatory training as required.
- To attend all in-house training courses as required, enabling the delivery of new service developments/changes.
