Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Discharge Operations Manager within General & Specialist Medicine, based at the William Harvey Hospital in Ashford, to lead, motivate and manage the various projects within GSM and to ensure our service runs smoothly on a day to day basis.
You will work with clinical and operational leads to provide high quality information which allows greater understanding of patient flows within the specialties and allows capacity to be managed more proactively in the services.
It is expected that the post holders will work collaboratively with other sites and Divisions to support the effective use of the Trust\’s capacity and ensure optimum patient flows through the hospitals.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for the provision of information on capacity and the flow of patients through the department, ensuring efficient utilisation of the designated clinical areas of the Division and with colleagues across the Trust and ensuring the patient pathway is managed in such a way that patients experience a service that is efficient and fluid
