What will you be doing?

  • Provide day to day ER advice, support and guidance to managers and staff across the Council.
  • Managing casework from within your allocated services
  • Lead on and/or participate in a range of people related projects including restructures and supporting organisational development activities that support our People Ambition Strategy
  • Helping managers think creatively about recruitment
  • Support the learning and development activities of the council

About you

  • You understand how local government / councils work, preferably have worked in one
  • You can communicate clearly and positively with staff at all levels and councillors
  • You are able to produce well researched, succinct and persuasive business cases and reports
  • You are able to learn our systems, and support the development of policies and processes
  • Able to help coach and develop managers and staff
  • You are a team player
