What will you be doing?
- Responding to service requests and giving appropriate advice on matters relating to statutory nuisances primarily noise, odour and smoke.
- In addition to requests concerning pests and drainage and general public health issues.
- Undertake inspections, investigate complaints, prepare prosecution files under instruction of senior colleagues and undertake project work where directed.
- You will be empowered to undertake appropriate enforcement action as necessary.
- Visit and assess venues and events using sound equipment where required.
About You
As an ideal candidate, you will have:
- A relevant qualification or experience within the discipline applied for and a working knowledge of the legislation and regulations relating to those areas.
- The ability to deal with challenging situations using tact and discretion.
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to work without supervision, prioritise work to meet deadlines.
- Excellent written skills, with the ability to write schedules of work, summarise accurately and convey complex information.
