About East Hampshire District Council:

East Hampshire District Council has been through a substantial period of change. Part of this change has been the migration of some of our on premise solutions to cloud. The Technical Project Support role will be primarily working on one of these programmes, the migration of our Idox suite of applications to the cloud version and the transition into BAU.

Information about the role:

East Hampshire District Council is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our IT & Digital team as a Technical Project Support. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to innovative digital initiatives and support the delivery of key technical projects across the council.

  • Managing technical project issues and new requests working with internal teams and third parties as needed.
  • Supporting the tools and processes necessary for storing, reporting and analysing management information, and key performance data, enabling the front line services to use an intelligence led approach to service delivery.
  • Ensuring robust procedures are in place and in use for relevant systems.
  • Ensuring that all service data stored in the I.T systems is of good quality and complies with corporate and service level data retention protocols.

Requirements of the position:

  • GCSE Maths and English Grade 4 or above
  • Experience of carrying out the administration and management of systems and data
  • Knowledge of Business Process Re-engineering
  • Ability to learn new software applications quickly and to obtain and manipulate datasets
  • Ability to communicate technical language effectively to others
  • A good ability with Microsoft applications: Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Internet Explorer, Project
  • Customer care focus
  • Commitment to continuous service improvement
  • Resourceful
  • A good team player
