Following a recent review of resources, an opportunity has arisen within our Development Management Team for a Team Leader to manage a team of planning officers and play a key role in delivering high-quality, place-focused development across the district.

Working in an exceptionally attractive and scenic part of the country, you will play a vital role leading a team of planning officers in determining planning applications in a prompt and efficient manner. You will also be responsible for growing and developing the team and maintaining a high quality, effective and responsive service for our customers. There will also be an opportunity for the successful candidate to handle one or two complex major planning applications as part of the role.
The right candidate will have excellent organisational and communication skills, together with a proactive, solution-focused approach. You’ll also be joining us at a time when local government is evolving, with Local Government Reorganisation (LGR) on the horizon. This presents a unique opportunity to be part of shaping how planning services are delivered in the future, which will bring innovation, collaboration and new ways of working to the forefront.
