Our client is a mid-size financial services firm which is a Linux shop both on the server side and the trader desktops. The London office is small and you will be the single Linux administrator. Some Windows administration skills are a plus but not strictly necessary.
Systems Administrators are responsible for the workstations and servers of our rapidly expanding trading operations. Fluency in Linux administration is a must.
- Experience scripting in bash and python is preferred; SQL and Perl are a plus.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity tools including 2FA, iptable rulesets, Malwarebytes, fail2ban, etc.
- Preference to apply a breadth of experience towards varied responsibilities in a small-shop environment.
- Installations of workstations on our trading floors and in offices.
- Installations of servers and networking appliances in data centers, sometimes requiring travel.
- Large-scale build-outs, sometimes requiring travel, both domestic and international.
