Job Introduction
East Durham Colleges sixth from department (ED6) is growing, and were looking for an enthusiastic and committed A Level English Lecturer to join our expanding SHAPE provision.
Whether your specialism is Language, Literature, or both, this is an opportunity to teach motivated post-16 learners in a high-achieving and well-supported environment. We welcome applications from both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs).

Essential Requirements Include
- A minimum Level 6 qualification in English
- GCSE-level Maths and English (or equivalent)
- A recognised teaching qualification (Level 5 or above), or willingness to work towards one
- Experience of working with 1419+ learners, ideally on A Level programmes
- The ability to deliver high-quality, engaging lessons and support learners to achieve strong outcomes
- Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
