East Durham Sixth Form (ED6) is expanding its SHAPE provision and is looking for a passionate and dedicated Lecturer in Law & Criminology to join our growing team.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging A Level Law and Criminology lessons aligned with AQA and WJEC specifications.
- Design and update schemes of work and course materials.
- Assess student work, provide feedback, and prepare learners for exams and UCAS applications.
- Monitor student progress and implement support strategies.
- Collaborate with colleagues and external partners to enhance academic delivery.
- Support enrichment activities and recruitment events.
Essential Criteria:
- Level 6 qualification in Law or a related discipline.
- GCSE-level education or equivalent in Maths & English.
- Teaching qualification at Level 5 or above (Cert Ed/PGCE/DTLLS) or willingness to work towards one.
- Experience teaching A Level programmes.
- Proven track record of delivering good or better teaching.
- Ability to teach a wide range of abilities and manage workload effectively.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to safeguarding, equality, and professional integrity.
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience teaching a range of Level 3 Humanities subjects.
- Experience working with learners aged 14-19+.
- Full UK Driving Licence and/or access to a vehicle.
