Job Summary

Please note that salary will be pro-rated for part-time hours.

(Two week shift pattern. Average 18.75hrs per week)

The position is available supported from Kirkintilloch Leisure Centre and working across various Outdoor Pavilions managed by EDLC, but primarily based at the newly redeveloped High Park 3G pitch and pavilion facility in Lennoxtown.

To undertake a range of duties within outdoor Pavilions/Pitches and dryside activities within the Leisure Centre as required. Duties will include cleaning, control of facilities, liaising with customers, teams and officials and assembling and dismantling of equipment.

The job provides our service in line with customer demand times which are midweek evenings and some daytime weekend working (one Saturday every second weekend). Shift working days are Tues/Wed/Thurs one week then Mon/Fri evenings & Saturday day shift the second week.

We are seeking someone who can work on their own initiative, can foster good relations with user groups and other colleagues, and ensure the facility is kept clean, safe and secure. An interest in local community grass roots sport would be helpful.

The post holders will be required to work outside normal hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays. Disclosure Scotland checks will apply.

PVG / Disclosure Scotland

The following criteria applies to all roles within East Dunbartonshire Council where PVG/Disclosure checks are essential criteria

Where the post you are applying for is considered a Regulated Role under the Disclosure (Scotland) Act 2020, successful candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check, prior to confirmation of employment being made by East Dunbartonshire Council.

Please note, successful candidates will be expected to meet the cost of the relevant check which will be deducted from the successful candidate\'s first salary payment.

In specific circumstances the payment could be deducted in instalments from an employee\'s wages following commencement of employment. Approval in such circumstances will be made by the HR &OD Manager.

Should an employee leave in advance of the payment being deducted, the full amount will be deducted from the employee\'s final salary.

The criteria outlined above will apply to existing employees of East Dunbartonshire Council who apply for roles for which a PVG/Disclosure check is required.
