This post is only available to all permanent and temporary employees and agency workers currently on assignment within East Dunbartonshire Council.
The successful candidates will provide instruction in Woodwind to support the Instrumental Music Service in schools as well as the extensive bands and orchestras programme that runs in EDC.
Accountability
The persons appointed will report in the first instance to the Chief Education Officer through the Team Leader (Instrumental Music). The post holders will also have to liaise with appropriate Head Teachers. Instructors should be aware that timetabling is assessed on an annual basis and may be subject to change.
Remit
- To provide Instrumental Instruction (Woodwind) in line with the Council policy.
- To be a good ambassador for, and actively promote, the Instrumental Music Service and contribute to its strategic direction.
- To comply with all procedures relating to the delivery of Instrumental Instruction in East Dunbartonshire schools.
- Any other duties consistent with the post as requested by the Instrumental Music Service Team Leader.
Candidates should be prepared to be involved in the authority extra-curricular Bands and Orchestras programme if required.
