The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 £ per year.

Salary will be pro-rated for part-time hours. These positions are temporary.

Position 1 - The successful candidate must be flexible to work 14 hours Thursday and Friday to cover a Maternity Leave post.

Position 2 - The successful candidate must be flexible to work 28 hours Monday to Thursday.

Lairdsland EYC is a 2-5 centre in Kirkintilloch. We are open from 8am - 6pm Monday - Friday. This is a very exciting time in East Dunbartonshire Council. We have developed our Early Years and Childcare Services to meet parents and family's needs in line with the Children and Young People (Scotland) Act.

You will be required to work as part of a team that supports the development of high quality early years' services for children and families. You will provide children with a range of appropriate experiences and learning opportunities suitable for their age and stage of development within the context of local and national curriculum guidance and care standards.

You will support children in the centre and work alongside a staff team to develop a range of appropriate experiences and learning opportunities suitable for children's age and stage of development within an extended day centre. You will support the creation of a safe, caring, stimulating and inclusive environment for parents and families.

You may be presented with opportunities to support modern apprentices and early years' students and trainees. You will supervise, mentor and report on their performance to Senior EYW, Depute Head of Centre/Head Teacher and college tutors.

You will be enthusiastic and articulate with excellent interpersonal and communication skills and understand the importance of confidentiality. You must possess a relevant childcare qualification as defined in the role profile.

All positions require a valid PVG/Disclosure (Scotland) check.

Individuals will be treated in a polite, friendly and welcoming manner.
