Our Care at Home Service provides essential care to the most vulnerable in our communities within their own homes. Successful applicants will deliver a range of services, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication management. We offer extensive training on all aspects of the role.
Working hours will include shifts in the Early (7:30 am – 1:30 pm) and Late (4 pm – 10 pm) periods across a 7-day week, including weekends. Positions are available across different shift patterns, teams, and geographical areas, up to 30 hours per week.

It is desirable to hold an SVQ Level 2 / SCQF Level 6 qualification. East Dunbartonshire Council supports and funds successful applicants in achieving an SVQ2 qualification.
Our structure provides a career pathway for promotion within Adult Social Care.
It is preferable to hold a full Driving Licence, especially for posts in some teams where it is essential. Care at Home fleet cars are available for use during shifts.
All successful applicants will need to register with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) within 6 months of starting employment. As part of the local authority pay deal, you will not pay SSSC registration or renewal fees.
