Job Summary: Please note: This is a term-time position, and salary will be pro-rated for part-time and term-time hours. The role of the Catering Facilities Assistant involves contributing to the effective provision of a Catering Service to all customers, ensuring Food Hygiene Regulations are adhered to, meeting all Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and working towards the continuous improvement of service delivery and the Facilities Management Team's performance.

Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and cooking food for the lunchtime service
  • Working as part of a team to ensure the effective delivery of the FM catering service

PVG/Disclosure Scotland: Where the role is considered a Regulated Role under the Disclosure (Scotland) Act 2020, successful candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check before employment is confirmed by East Dunbartonshire Council. Candidates will bear the cost of the check, which will be deducted from the first salary payment. In some cases, deductions may be made in installments from wages after employment begins, with approval from the HR & OD Manager. If an employee leaves before deductions are completed, the full amount will be deducted from the final salary. This applies to existing employees applying for roles requiring a PVG/Disclosure check.
