The predicted salary is between 23615 - 25674 £ per year.

Salary will be pro-rated for part-time hours.

Post 1 - 32 hours per week - Monday to Friday

Post 2 - 18 hours per week - Days to be considered, but would include a Thursday.

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to work within our day services, alongside our large established team of workers, to support adults with a learning disability to access activities in the community and in our resource service; improving opportunities and outcomes for individuals in leisure, employment and education.

The Day Service Assistant post is based in our Allander Building-Based Service, providing high quality day care to adults with learning disabilities to engage in meaningful daytime activities.

Previous experience of working with adults who have learning disabilities or autism is required.

  • The following criteria applies to all roles within East Dunbartonshire Council where PVG/Disclosure checks are essential criteria.
  • Where the post you are applying for is considered a Regulated Role under the Disclosure (Scotland) Act 2020, successful candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check, prior to confirmation of employment being made by East Dunbartonshire Council.
  • Successful candidates will be expected to meet the cost of the relevant check which will be deducted from the successful candidate’s first salary payment.
  • Successful candidates who withdraw their application after the check process has started will be invoiced for the cost of the check.
  • In specific circumstances the payment could be deducted in instalments from an employee’s wages following commencement of employment. Approval in such circumstances will be made by the HR.
