Job Summary
Please note that salary will be pro-rated for part-time and term-time hours. This is a term-time position. The Catering Facilities Assistant contributes to providing a Catering Service to all customers, ensuring Food Hygiene Regulations are followed, all SLAs are met, and service delivery is continuously improved. The role involves preparing and cooking food for lunchtime service and working as part of a team to ensure effective catering services within Facilities Management.

All roles within East Dunbartonshire Council requiring PVG/Disclosure checks follow these criteria: Successful candidates for Regulated Roles under the Disclosure (Scotland) Act 2020 will need to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check before employment is confirmed. The cost of the check is deducted from the first salary payment, with possible installment arrangements approved by HR & OD. If employment ends before deduction, the full amount will be deducted from the final salary. This applies to both new and existing employees applying for roles requiring PVG/Disclosure checks.
