The predicted salary is between 23000 - 26000 £ per year.

Salary will be pro-rated for part-time hours. Three positions available - 1 x 28 hours and 2 x 21 hours. Pineview housing support service provides 24 hour support to adults with Learning disabilities and/or Autism. Supporting individuals to participate as fully as possible in family life, educational, leisure and recreational activities. The successful applicant will undertake a range of personal care tasks and promote social inclusion in the community by providing stimulating activities which will enhance, develop or maintain the well-being of service users. Whilst, contributing to the preparation of reports, working in partnership with families, social care workers/care managers and others.

Working hours will be across a 24 hour shift pattern of Early shifts (8-3pm), late shifts (3-10pm) and night shifts (10-8am) and worked 5 over 7, inclusive of weekends. Night shifts are rotational. It is essential that applicants have SVQ3 Social Services and Healthcare/ HNC Social Services or equivalent experience with a requirement to work towards a SVQ3 Social Services and Healthcare/ HNC Social Services. East Dunbartonshire Council will seek to support and fund successful applicants in achieving this. It is essential that you hold a full driving licence as you will be driving mobility cars within your role remit. All successful candidates will be required to register with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) within 3 months of starting employment. As part of the local Authority pay deal you will not have to pay SSSC application or renewal fees.

PVG / Disclosure Scotland

The following criteria applies to all roles within East Dunbartonshire Council where PVG/Disclosure checks are essential criteria. Where the post you are applying for is considered a Regulated Role under the Disclosure (Scotland) Act 2020, successful candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check, prior to confirmation of employment being made by East Dunbartonshire Council. Please note, successful candidates will be expected to meet the cost of the relevant check which will be deducted from the successful candidate’s first salary payment. Successful candidates who withdraw their application after the check process has started will be invoiced for the cost of the check. In specific circumstances the payment could be deducted in instalments from an employee’s wages following commencement of employment. Approval in such circumstances will be made by the HR &OD Manager. Should an employee leave in advance of the payment being deducted, the full amount will be deducted from the employee’s final salary. The criteria outlined above will apply to existing employees of East Dunbartonshire Council who apply for roles for which a PVG/Disclosure check is required.
