- E-Commerce Specialist – Towing & Recovery Parts
- Position: Full-time
About the Role
At East Coast Truck & Trailer Sales, we are an authorized distributor of parts and equipment for the American towing, recovery, auto-transport, and waste industries.
Our online business is rapidly growing, and we are adding a second E-Commerce Specialist to our team.
Working alongside our current specialist, you will learn the full scope of our operations across our online store, marketplaces, email campaigns, and social media presence.
This is a hands‑on operations role with real room for growth, allowing you to eventually take ownership of an area that best fits your strengths.
You will maintain and upload products to our Big Commerce store and Amazon, execute email marketing, and engage with customers within the online towing community.
If you have managed an online store before, enjoy a mix of meticulous detail work and customer‑direct communication, and want a path to own a piece of a growing operation, you will fit right in.
A background in automotive, trucks, or heavy‑duty parts is a significant advantage.
This role also includes hands‑on graphic design: you will build our marketing “creative sets” from scratch, adapting core campaign concepts across all necessary formats (social posts, banners, emails, and store graphics).
Therefore, solid Adobe Creative Suite skills are required.
- What You’ll Do
- Product
Operations: Upload, maintain, and update product listings on Big Commerce and Amazon, ensuring high accuracy for titles, descriptions, specifications, categories, and images.
- Email Marketing: Design, build, and schedule email campaigns, ensuring all communications remain on‑brand and engaging.
- Marketplace Management: Keep our Amazon storefront listings current, accurate, and optimized.
- Community & Social Engagement: Act as the voice of our brand in towing and recovery social media groups by helpfully answering technical questions about parts and trucks.
- Marketing Graphics & Creative
Sets: Build marketing creatives from scratch using Adobe Creative Suite.
Take singular campaign concepts and produce them consistently across all digital formats.
- Catalog Maintenance: Ensure the ongoing cleanliness, accuracy, and expansion of our product catalog.
- What We’re Looking For
- Proven E-Commerce
Experience: Hands‑on experience executing product uploads and listing maintenance on major platforms (e. g., Big Commerce, Shopify, Amazon Seller Central, Woo Commerce).
- Design
Proficiency: Solid Adobe Creative Suite skills (specifically Photoshop).
You can build marketing graphics and multi‑format creative sets from scratch using clean, organized, and reusable files.
- Exceptional Attention to
Detail: High accuracy and reliability with repetitive, data‑heavy work.
You are the kind of person who spots the wrong SKU, a broken spec, or a miscategorized item.
- Strong Communication Skills: Clear, helpful written communication, with the comfort and confidence to answer customer questions publicly in community settings.
- Adaptability: Comfort with learning and juggling multiple web platforms and digital tools simultaneously.
- Collaborative Spirit: A team‑oriented working style. You will share platforms and tasks with a teammate, making clear handoffs and seamless communication essential.
- Bonus
Qualifications: Experience with email marketing platforms (e. g., Remarkety, Mailchimp, Constant Contact) and knowledge of automotive, truck, or heavy‑duty parts are strong pluses.
- What Stands Out
- You have managed an online store end‑to‑end and can provide examples of listings you have built.
- You know your way around vehicle and equipment parts, or you have a proven track record of learning technical product details quickly.
- You are as reliable with daily, routine maintenance as you are with large‑scale projects.
- You can converse with a tow operator authentically, demonstrating a real understanding of their work and needs.
