Responsibilities
- Support and deliver daily living activities: manage dietary and fluid intake, continence care, toileting assistance with sheaths, catheters and continence pads.
- Take, record, and report vital signs: blood pressure, respiration, pulse, oxygen saturation levels, and urinalysis.
- Recognise and report deteriorating patient condition.
- Undertake skin assessments and perform dressing changes as required.
- Provide walking aids and fit small aids and equipment as directed.
- Prompt, assist and manage medication per Medication Administration Record chart; report medication issues or compliance concerns.
- Participate in end‑of‑life care when appropriate.
- Maintain high standard record keeping in line with ECCH standards; use SystmOne clinical IT system.
- Work 7 days a week 7:00–20:30, with variety of shifts including weekends and bank holidays; may cover staff sickness or capacity pressures at other PCH locations.
- Undertake the nationally recognised Care Certificate programme if not previously achieved at start of employment.
