Purpose of Role: To provide specialist technical and learning support within practical learning environments, ensuring equipment, resources and workshops are safe, compliant and industry-standard, while enabling students with additional needs to access learning, develop independence and achieve their goals. The role may involve working across all East Coast College sites.
Key needs from you and the role:
- Industry experience in welding, engineering or a related technical field, with a passion for developing students’ vocational, employability and workplace skills.
- Ability to support and motivate young people with learning difficulties and disabilities, helping them build confidence, independence and achieve positive employment outcomes.
- Strong employer engagement and networking skills, with experience developing work placements, supported internships and employment opportunities within the welding sector.
- Organised and collaborative professional with excellent communication skills, committed to safeguarding, student wellbeing, accurate record-keeping and working effectively with colleagues, employers and external agencies.
