Hours: 18.5 hours per week (0.5FTE)

Contract: Permanent

Salary: Lecturer Scale £35,112.48 - £41,600.00 (Full Time Equivalent) dependent on qualifications and experience

We are seeking an enthusiastic, knowledgeable and inspirational A-Level English Teacher to join our successful Sixth Form team. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious educator with a passion for English Language and English Literature and a commitment to helping young people achieve their academic potential. You will deliver high‑quality teaching across A-Level English, creating, engaging and challenging learning experiences that develop students’ analytical, critical thinking and communication skills.

Key Requirements

  • Degree in English (or a related subject)
  • Ability to engage, inspire, and motivate students
  • Commitment to student achievement, wellbeing and progression
  • Commitment to safeguarding
  • Minimum Level 2 (or equivalent) in English and maths, with evidence of this
