Salary: Band F (£25,811.10 - £26,025.00 FTE)

Purpose of Role: The overall purpose of the post is ensuring the safety of students, staff and visitors whilst using the college premises and facilities along with the security of the buildings, grounds and property under the ownership or control of East Coast College.

Key needs from you and the role:

• Maintain Campus Security & Safety: Protect college premises, respond to security incidents, conduct patrols, monitor CCTV, manage intruder alerts, and support emergency responses including fire alarms.
• Provide Excellent Customer Service: Act as a professional first point of contact for students, staff, and visitors while ensuring a safe, welcoming, and secure environment.
• Monitor Compliance & Incident Management: Carry out ID badge checks, enforce health and safety requirements, challenge unauthorised access and non-attendance, assess incidents, and maintain accurate records and reports.
• Support College Operations & Welfare: Undertake car park and first aid duties, assist with site operations when required, promote safeguarding, equality and inclusion, and support the wider needs of the College.

East Coast College require all staff to hold a minimum Level 2 or equivalent in English and maths, and be able to evidence this.
