East Coast College’s Construction team are looking for a Lecturer in Carpentry and Joinery to join them and help continue to drive quality of delivery and student achievement. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced tradesperson looking to pass on their knowledge, or a qualified lecturer seeking a rewarding role in Further Education. Your knowledge and experience will develop the practical skills and theory knowledge of our students aiming to pursue a career in Carpentry and Joinery.

Requirements and Additional Information:

East Coast College require all staff to hold a minimum Level 2 or equivalent in English and maths, and be able to evidence this. If you secure a teaching position but do not currently hold a teacher qualification, you are required to obtain this within your first three years of employment. The college can provide support, and you may be eligible to pay fees back if you fail to complete the qualification or exit the organisation within the committed timeframe. You may secure your own funding such as Student Finance if you wish. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and you will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS check or Enhanced DBS check with barred list. You will be asked to make a criminal conviction declaration if shortlisted. Guidance about disclosure can be found on the Ministry of Justice website. All offers of employment are conditional and subject to pre-employment checks, including at least two references, safeguarding and suitability checks, and an Enhanced DBS check where required.
