Located in the tranquil lakeside setting near the cathedral city of Ely, the new Lake View Bereavement Centre is preparing to open its doors in the early autumn. We are looking for a Customer Service Advisor & Crematorium Assistant to join our founding team. Saying goodbye is a significant milestone in any life. At Lake View, we ensure every service not only pays tribute to who has died but also creates a supportive environment where family and friends feel truly cared for.

As a Customer Service Advisor & Crematorium Assistant you will provide compassionate, front-line customer service while also supporting the Crematorium Technician with cremations, equipment maintenance and ensuring compliance with statutory and environmental regulations. This role requires a commitment to excellence, and an understanding of the statutory procedural requirements for cremation services. You will also be willing to gain formal certification through the CTTS (Crematorium Technicians’ Training Scheme).

We are seeking candidates with experience in a bereavement service or customer-focused environment. You will be comfortable working in a sensitive setting and possess excellent attention to detail, strong IT skills and a methodical approach to your work. In this varied role, you will anticipate needs and adapt to changing priorities to ensure the smooth delivery of services, always prioritising the dignity of the deceased and the care and compassion families deserve.
