Job Description
Challenge, support, and inspire all learners to achieve the best possible outcomes through the development and delivery of an innovative and creative curriculum. This role aims to promote, deliver, and integrate the key objectives outlined in the Education Plan and the Community Plan.
Requirements
The duties involve Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful applicants will need to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member for Regulated Work with these groups, or if already a member, undergo a PVG Scheme Record Update before a formal employment offer is made by East Ayrshire Council. PVG records are continually updated; any relevant disclosures will be discussed with the applicant prior to employment.
Responsibilities
We adhere to the national guidance \”Safer Recruitment Through Better Recruitment\” for pre-employment checks. During the application process, applicants should provide details of at least two relevant references, including one from their current or most recent employer, which must be from an appropriate senior manager. References from peers at the same level are not acceptable.
The Individual
This is a temporary full-time position based at Stewarton Academy, Stewarton, until 31 March 2026. The role involves 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, as directed by the line manager. The salary range is £40,305 – £50,589 per annum.
