Job Description

The duties of a teacher working in East Ayrshire Council are defined in Annex B of the national agreement \"A teaching profession for the 21st century\" and the Standard for Full Registration (SFR).

The duties of a Principal teacher working in East Ayrshire Council are similarly defined in Annex B of the same national agreement and the SFR.

Requirements

The role involves Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful applicants will be required to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member for Regulated Work with these groups, or if already a member, to undergo a PVG Scheme Record Update, before a formal offer of employment is made. PVG records are regularly updated, and any relevant disclosures will be discussed with the applicant prior to employment.

Responsibilities

This is a part-time, temporary position based at Grange Academy, Kilmarnock. The full-time salary for this role is £56,400 per annum, with a pro-rated salary of £22,560 for part-time. The position is temporary until June 2021.
