Challenge, support, and inspire all learners to achieve the best possible outcomes through the development and delivery of an innovative and creative curriculum. This role aims to promote, deliver, and integrate the key objectives outlined in the Education Plan and the Community Plan.

Requirements

The duties involve regulated work with children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful applicants will be required to become a PVG Scheme member for Regulated Work with these groups, or if already a member, to undergo a PVG Scheme Record Update before a formal employment offer is made. PVG records are continually updated, and any relevant disclosures will be discussed with the applicant prior to employment.

Responsibilities

We adhere to the national guidance "Safer Recruitment Through Better Recruitment" for pre-employment checks. Applicants should provide details of at least two relevant references, including one from their current or most recent employer, ideally from a senior manager.

The Individual

We are offering two temporary part-time teaching positions at Dalmellington Primary School, Dalmellington: one at 0.8 FTE and another at 0.6 FTE. These roles are temporary until 26 June 2025, with hours of 28 and 21 per week, respectively, to be scheduled by the line manager. The full-time salary ranges from £40,305 to £50,589 per annum. The part-time salaries are proportionally adjusted: £32,244 to £40,471 for the 0.8 FTE and £24,183 to £30,353 for the 0.6 FTE. Interviews are scheduled for Thursday, 3 July 2025.
