Represent the Council in all litigation matters and provide legal advice and support to all Committees and Service Units of the Council. Assist in promoting, delivering, and integrating the key objectives outlined in the Governance Services Plan and the Community Plan.

Requirements

The successful applicant must complete a Level 2 Disclosure Scotland application. A formal employment offer will only be made once satisfactory clearance is received. Any information disclosed during the Level 2 disclosure process will require discussion prior to an official offer.

The Individual

This is a permanent, full-time position based at Council Headquarters, London Road, Kilmarnock. Working hours are 35 hours per week, Monday to Thursday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, and Friday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. The work style is flexible, with 50% - 79% of the time spent in an office or multiple work locations. You will work at your administrative base or another agreed location between 2.5 to 4 days per week, with occasional remote work.

The full-time salary ranges from Β£40,495 to Β£52,325 per annum, corresponding to Grade 10 - Grade 12. For further information, please contact Craig Young at craig.young@east-ayrshire.gov.uk.
