Overview
Contribute as part of a management team to the provision of quality early learning and childcare for the benefit of children, families and the wider community in compliance with national and local authority guidance and the statutes relating to the provision of early learning and childcare, supporting the better integration of universal services within a specified locality in accordance with GIRFEC, national standards and guidelines in order to assist with the promotion, delivery and integration of the key objectives in relation to those identified within the Education Service Plan, the Children and Young People\\\βs Services Plan and the Community Plan.

Requirements
The duties of the post involve Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful applicants for such posts will be required to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member in respect of Regulated Work with either or both of these groups as appropriate, or if they are already a Scheme member, be subject to a PVG Scheme Record Update, before any formal offer of employment can be made by East Ayrshire Council. Please note:- PVG members\\\β records are constantly updated with any new vetting information that arises. Any information that is disclosed on a PVG Scheme Record or Scheme Record Update, if relevant to the post being applied for, will be discussed with the applicant prior to any formal offer of employment being made.

The Individual
This is a permanent part time term time post based within New Cumnock Early Childhood Centre, New Cumnock. The hours of work are 14 hours per week to be worked Thursday & Friday each week at the direction of the line manager. The full time salary of the post is between Β£37,911 β Β£41,587 per annum. The actual part time term time salary is between Β£13,006 β Β£14,267 per annum.
