Assist with the effective provision of Instrumental instruction to individuals and groups of pupils within an educational environment in order to assist with the promotion, delivery and integration of the key objectives in relation to those identified within Education Plan and the Community Plan.
Requirements
The duties of the post involve Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful applicants for such posts will be required to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member in respect of Regulated Work with either or both of these groups as appropriate, or if they are already a Scheme member, be subject to a PVG Scheme Record Update, before any formal offer of employment can be made by East Ayrshire Council.

Responsibilities
We follow the national guidance in relation to pre-employment checks namely “Safer Recruitment Through Better Recruitment”. The Individual
This is a temporary part time post of Music Instructor, Upper Strings (Violin/Viola) based within Kilmarnock Academy at the William McIlvanney Campus, the post is temporary until 31 March 2027. The hours of work are 21 hours per week to be worked 3 days per week at the direction of the line manager. The full time salary of the post is between £36,687 - £48,762 per annum. The actual part time salary is between £22,012 - £29,257 per annum.
An observed lesson will form part of the Interview process for this position.
