What’s the role?
Whilst undertaking this modern apprenticeship, the post holder will work to secure a fair and safe environment for people working and living in East Ayrshire by administration and enforcement of Trading Standards and Environmental Health law.
This includes advising and assisting businesses, complaint investigations, business inspections, test transactions and targeted projects.
- At East Ayrshire Council we have three teams that form
- Regulatory
Services
- Business Regulation (food law and occupational health and safety law),
- Environmental Protection and Environmental Crime, and
- Trading Standards.
During this 2-year modern apprenticeship you will have the opportunity to gain valuable work experience in illicit trade, doorstep crime, consumer product safety, age related sales, food safety, pest control, animal health
