To undertake training as an Apprentice Plasterer and to assist in all Joinery repairs and all refurbishment work to Council properties; to assist with the promotion, delivery and integration of the Council’s key objectives; specifically in relation to the Community Plan, Shared Commitments, Single Outcome Agreement and Best Value.

It is also a requirement that the reference is from an appropriately senior manager and it is not a reference from a former peer operating at the same level.

The Individual

To apply for these posts you must be aged between 16-24 or up to age 29 if you are care experienced or have a disability. There are 2 full time temporary posts based at Burnside Street, Kilmarnock. These posts are temporary for 4 years to allow the successful candidate to complete their apprenticeship. Start date for this position is August 2025. The starting rate for these posts is ÂŁ12.60 per hour, moving onto a percentage of the relevant grade in year 4. As part of the recruitment and selection procedure, if your application reaches the next stage you will be required to attend for an in-house assessment and a formal interview.
