The predicted salary is between 60126 - 65975 ÂŁ per year.

To be responsible for the effective management of the justice Service across East Ayrshire. You will be pivotal in setting and driving forward the strategic direction of justice services in East Ayrshire and will require to work in collaboration with Justice partners in The South West Scotland Justice Authority and the Ayrshire Justice Partnership. You will be responsible for the practice and performance development in supporting the achievement of the council’s key strategic aims and objectives and to ensure a consistent approach is adopted in the conduct and development of administrative systems and procedures.

Requirements

The duties of the post involve Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful applicants for such posts will be required to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member in respect of Regulated Work with either or both of these groups as appropriate, or if they are already a Scheme member, be subject to a PVG Scheme Record Update, before any formal offer of employment can be made by East Ayrshire Council. Please note: PVG members' records are constantly updated with any new vetting information that arises. Any information that is disclosed on a PVG Scheme Record or Scheme Record Update, if relevant to the post being applied for, will be discussed with the applicant prior to any formal offer of employment being made.

Additional Information

This is a full time temporary post based within Justice Services. The post is temporary until 30/09/2026.

Salary Information

The successful candidate will have the option of being appointed on either East Ayrshire Council or NHS Ayrshire & Arran terms and conditions.

  • EAC 35hrs per week Annual Salary - ÂŁ61,243 - ÂŁ65,975.
  • NHS 37.5hrs per week Annual Salary - Band 8A - ÂŁ60,126-ÂŁ64,906.
