We are looking to make an appointment to the post of Director of Health & Social Care Partnership and we are seeking exceptional candidates who have the drive and ambition to secure long and lasting positive change for our local communities. You will be expected to work with a range of partners in the public, private and voluntary sectors and to build on the excellent working relationships which exist locally, to take forward the Council's priorities. Requirements

In accordance with the Local Government and Housing Act 1989 as amended, this post has been designated as politically restricted. We follow the national guidance in relation to pre-employment checks namely 'Safer Recruitment Through Better Recruitment'. With regards to requests for references and in line with this guidance, during your application process you should provide details of a minimum of two appropriate and relevant references, one of which should be from your current or most recent employer. It is also a requirement that the reference from your current or most recent employer is from an appropriate senior manager and it is not a reference from a former peer operating at the same level.

Responsibilities

The duties of this post requires access to the public sector network and therefore the successful applicant must complete an enhanced Disclosure Scotland application. A formal offer of employment with East Ayrshire Health & Social Care Partnership will only be made once satisfactory clearance has been received. Any information that is disclosed on an enhanced disclosure will require to be discussed before a formal offer of employment is made.

This is a permanent full time position based at Council Headquarters, London Road, Kilmarnock. This post will require travel across Ayrshire, or in accordance with the remit of the post. Hours of work are: 9.00am - 5.00pm Monday - Thursday & 9.00 am - 4.00 pm Friday* or 9.00am - 5.00pm Monday - Friday** Annual Salary- EAC £148,732 per annum* or NHS Band F £115,682 to £153,149 per annum** Due to the nature of your appointment you may be required to work hours in addition to and out with the above pattern, and this is reflected in the salary for the post.
