Working in the Customer Contact team, the post holder will provide a quality customer focused service which will include handling a range of customer enquiries and payments relating to Council Tax, Business Rates, Housing Benefit, Sundry Debtors and Scottish Welfare Fund in accordance with statutory legislation and regulations through a variety of communication channels, providing resolution whenever possible, at first point of contact.
The post holder will also provide an effective telephony service to customers seeking general information, assistance, support and signposting in relation to a full range of Council services in order to assist with the promotion, delivery and integration of the Council’s key objectives; specifically in relation to those identified within the Finance and ICT Service Plan, the Council’s Digital Strategy and the Community Plan.
The post holder may be required to work at different corporate locations within East Ayrshire that may not be their usual admin base.
RequirementsThe duties of this post require access to the public sector network and therefore the successful applicant must complete a basic Disclosure Scotland application. The IndividualThese are permanent full time posts based within the Johnnie Walker Bond, Kilmarnock.
The hours of work are 35 hours per week to be worked: Monday - Thursday, 9.00am - 5.00pm & Friday 9.00am - 4.00pm.
The full time salary of the post is between £27,937 - £29,247 per annum.
The workstyle for this post is ‘Flexible’ - 50% -79% of your time in an office location/multiple work locations. You will work at your administrative base or another agreed office location between 2.5 to 4 days per week and only occasionally from home. It is the expectation that all office-based employees (with the exception of those working in schools) will work to the higher end of their allocated workstyle in terms of time spent in the office or at other work locations.
