Job Description

Manage the delivery of a professional and high‑quality service to support and provide a first‑class service for pupils, staff, partners and visitors. Lead teams to maintain and develop a sustainable FM delivery, which meets the requirements of the service, process and procedures to underpin delivery, in order to assist with the promotion and integration of key objectives identified within the Facilities Management Service Plan and the Community Plan.

Requirements

The duties of the post involve Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful applicants will be required to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member in respect of Regulated Work with either or both of these groups, or, if already a Scheme member, be subject to a PVG Scheme Record Update before any formal offer of employment can be made. Note: PVG members’ records are constantly updated with any new vetting information that arises. Any information disclosed on a PVG Scheme Record or Scheme Record Update relevant to the post will be discussed with the applicant prior to any formal offer of employment being made.

The Individual

This is a full‑time temporary post based at the Rothesay House, Cumnock. The post is temporary until 30th June 2026. The hours of work are 37 per week: Monday to Thursday 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (50‑minute lunch break) and Friday 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. (40‑minute break). The salary for this post is £36,421 – £39,500 per annum. The work style for this post is \”Mobile\” – 20–49% of your time in an office or other work location. You will work at your administrative base or another agreed office location between one and 2.5 days per week and the remainder of the week at home or other work locations as required. It is expected that all office‑based employees (except those working in schools) will work to the higher end of their allocated work style in terms of time spent in the office or at other work locations.
