Job Description
Assist with a range of supports focused on providing nurturing care and promoting the learning and development of children within the Early Childhood Centre. The approach will be tailored to each child\’s needs and circumstances. All work is child-centered, promotes independence and creativity, and aligns with the Council\’s objectives related to early learning and childcare. Flexibility in working across different Early Childhood Centre locations within East Ayrshire is required to meet children\’s needs. The post holder must demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the service and organization.
Requirements
The duties involve regulated work with children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful applicants must become a PVG Scheme member or update their existing membership before a formal offer of employment can be made. PVG records are regularly updated, and any relevant disclosures will be discussed with the applicant prior to employment.

The Individual
This is a permanent, full-time, term-time position based at Littlemill Early Childhood Centre. The hours are 35 per week, scheduled as directed by the line manager.
