Job Description
Assist with the delivery of a clean and safe user environment within various premises across East Ayrshire to support the promotion, delivery, and integration of the Council\’s key objectives, including the Community Plan, Shared Commitments, Single Outcome Agreement, and Best Value.
Requirements
The duties involve Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful applicants must become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member for Regulated Work with these groups, or if already a member, undergo a PVG Scheme Record Update before a formal offer of employment is made. PVG records are regularly updated, and any relevant disclosures will be discussed with the applicant prior to employment.

The Individual
This is a temporary, part-time, term-time position based at St Sophia\’s PS. It is for 13 hours per week at an hourly rate of £13.48. The working pattern is Monday to Thursday, 3:00 pm – 5:45 pm, and Friday, 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm. The position is valid until 30/01/2026.
