Job Description

Assist with the delivery of a clean and safe user environment within various premises across East Ayrshire to promote, deliver, and integrate the Council’s key objectives, including the Community Plan, Shared Commitments, Single Outcome Agreement, and Best Value.

Requirements

The duties involve Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful applicants must become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member for Regulated Work with these groups or be subject to a PVG Scheme Record Update before a formal employment offer is made. PVG records are constantly updated; relevant disclosures will be discussed with the applicant prior to employment.

Applicants must provide at least two appropriate references, including one from their current or most recent employer, which should be from an appropriate senior manager and not a peer at the same level.

Additional Information

This is a temporary, part-time, term-time role at Hillhead PS, working 12.5 hours per week: Monday to Thursday 3:30 pm – 6:00 pm, and Friday 3:00 pm – 5:30 pm. The position is temporary until June 30, 2026.
